How do I turn telehealth and patient messaging on or off?

Control video visits, patient messaging, the auto-reply and message attachments for your clinic.

How do I turn telehealth and patient messaging on or off?

Go to Settings → General → Telehealth & Messaging. Select Save Settings after any change. Reset to Defaults restores the starting values.

Who can do this: team members who can manage the practice (the check under Manage Org & Assign Roles in My Team). Others can open the page but cannot save.

    Telehealth

    • Enable Video Visits: when off, telehealth appointments cannot be scheduled, and the booking page hides the telehealth option. Staff who try see "Telehealth visits are not currently available for this practice."
    • Google Meet creates the visit link. Recording and waiting-room behavior come from your Google Workspace settings, not GRAICE. Select Manage Google Workspace to connect it. See Google Workspace.

    Secure Messaging

    • Enable Patient Messaging: when off, patients cannot send messages and see "Patient messaging is not currently available for this practice."
    • Auto-Reply When Unavailable and Auto-Reply Message: when a patient sends a message, GRAICE posts your auto-reply in the conversation. It sends at most once every 24 hours per conversation. If the message is empty, GRAICE uses a default.
    • Allow File Attachments: lets care teams and patients attach files and images. When off, attachments are refused.
    • Maximum Attachment Size: the limit in MB. A larger file is refused with the limit shown.

Messages are encrypted in transit and before storage. This is always on and cannot be changed.
