How do I choose which notifications I get?
Pick email and in-app channels for each kind of notification, and set quiet hours.
How do I choose which notifications I get?
Go to Settings → General → Notifications. These settings are personal. They change what you receive, not what anyone else on your team gets, so each team member sets their own.
Who can do this: every team member, for their own notifications.
Notification Channels
For each notification type, tick the channels you want: Email, SMS or App / PWA.
- Appointment Reminders
- New Messages
- Billing & Payments
- Critical Alerts
- Document Updates
- Credentials
SMS shows Unavailable. Text message delivery isn't turned on yet, so those boxes can't be changed. Email and in-app notifications are unaffected.
Some email is always sent, whatever you tick: security and account emails such as password resets and verification, receipts, and required billing notices. Notices about a license that lapses within 7 days, or has lapsed, are always sent too.
To get app notifications on this device, select Enable on This Device and allow notifications when your browser asks. They show only while GRAICE is open in a browser tab. GRAICE can't notify you when it's closed.
Quiet Hours
- Tick Enable Quiet Hours.
- Set the Start Time and End Time.
- Optionally, tick Allow Critical Alerts During Quiet Hours so critical lab and urgent clinical alerts still reach you.
Quiet hours hold back app notifications only. Email still arrives during quiet hours, and the notification bell in GRAICE still records everything.
Quiet hours use UTC, not your clinic's time zone, so enter your times in UTC. If the start and end times are the same, app notifications are held back all day.
Select Save Preferences to keep your changes. GRAICE shows "Preferences saved". Reset to Defaults restores the starting choices on the page. Select Save Preferences afterwards to keep them.
If something goes wrong
- "Error loading preferences" means the page didn't load your settings. Refresh the page.
- "Failed to save preferences" means your changes weren't saved. Try again.
- Blocked by Browser on the device button means your browser is blocking notifications. Allow them in your browser settings, then reload.
