How do I run a telehealth visit with Google Meet?

Connect Google Workspace once, then join the Meet link from the Schedule and draft a note from the Meet transcript.

How do I run a telehealth visit with Google Meet?

Who can do this: clinicians on the patient's care team.

GRAICE creates a Google Meet link when someone at your clinic adds a telehealth appointment on Schedule. The link is created on the provider's Google calendar, so each provider connects their own account first.

    Connect Google Workspace (once)

    1. Open Settings → General → Integrations.
    2. In Google Workspace, select Connect.
    3. Sign in with your clinic's Google Workspace account and leave every requested permission ticked.

Personal Gmail accounts cannot be used. The card shows Connected when it works. Disconnect stops Meet links, calendar sync and transcripts.

    Join the visit

    1. Open Schedule and find the telehealth appointment on the Next Up view.
    2. Select Join Meet. Meet opens in a new tab and GRAICE opens the visit on your Chart tab.

Draft a note from the Meet transcript

    1. On the Chart tab, find Google Meet Transcript and select Pull Meet Transcript.
    2. If the consent dialog opens, review it with the patient and select Patient Consented — Continue.
    3. Select Generate SOAP Note from Transcript, then review and sign the note.

    If something goes wrong

    • "This appointment doesn't have a video link yet" means no Meet link was created. That happens when the provider's Google Workspace was not connected when the visit was booked, and for telehealth visits patients book themselves online. Connecting later does not add a link to visits already booked.
    • "No transcript found for this meeting" means the meeting may still be running or Google has not produced the transcript yet.
    • If your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for GRAICE and select Join Meet again.
