How do I explore my clinic's patient population?
Preview and save patient cohorts on Research and Analytics, and see why small groups are hidden.
How do I explore my clinic's patient population?
Research shows summaries of your clinic's active patients. It never shows individual patients.
Who can do this: clinicians and clinic admins. Coaches do not see Research.
- Open Tools → Research. The page is titled Research & Analytics.
- Under Build a clinic cohort, choose an Age group, a Recorded gender and a Recorded condition. Leave a filter on "Any" to skip it.
- Select Preview cohort to see a broad size range for matching patients.
- Select Save filters to keep the combination for your clinic.
Under Saved clinic cohorts, select Preview to recalculate from current records, Trends for monthly or quarterly trends, or Delete to remove a cohort you saved. Saved cohorts keep filters only, not patient lists.
Below the builder, summary cards show the clinic's active patients, age distribution, recorded gender, most common ICD-10 conditions and new patient memberships.
Why is something hidden?
GRAICE protects small groups so no one can be picked out.
- Counts of 0 to 10 share one label.
- A whole breakdown is withheld if any group in it is too small.
- "This combination is unavailable because it could reveal a small patient group." Try broader filters.
Admins can also select Create clinic report on a saved cohort's trends. These are internal clinic summaries. They are not de-identified datasets and are not approved for sharing outside the clinic.
