What does GRAICE charge, and can my clinic cover the visit fee?

The Platform Service Fee amounts for visits and prescriptions, who pays by default, and how a clinic can cover the visit fee.

What does GRAICE charge, and can my clinic cover the visit fee?

For most clinics, Settings → General → Plan shows Plan: Free. It explains that the system is free for clinics and that patients fund the platform through their GRAICE memberships.

The amounts you will see in GRAICE

    • Visit fee: GRAICE charges a $7 Platform Service Fee for each completed visit. The Visit Platform Service Fee card under Settings → Payments → Payment Settings describes it. By default the patient pays it.
    • Prescriptions: a one-time $37 Platform Service Fee applies only when an invoice includes a prescription. GRAICE charges no fee on service-only invoices.

    Who turns on prescribing

GRAICE turns prescribing on or off for each clinic. It is on automatically for Reneu's own clinic and for any clinic that has already prescribed through GRAICE. Your clinic's admins can't change this switch. If you don't see prescribing, contact GRAICE.

Have your clinic pay the visit fee

Who can do this: clinic owners, administrators, and team members with billing access.

    1. Connect your clinic's Stripe account. See Connect payments.
    2. Go to Settings → Payments → Payment Settings and find Visit Platform Service Fee.
    3. Under Card for GRAICE fees, select Add card (or Replace card) and save a card.
    4. Turn on Our clinic pays this fee.

If either step is missing, the switch stays off and a message tells you which one: "Connect your clinic's Stripe account above before your clinic can cover this fee." or "Add a card for GRAICE fees below before your clinic can cover this fee."

    How it is billed

    • Patients are not charged the fee for visits completed after you turn the switch on.
    • GRAICE bills your clinic once a month on a statement, charged to the card on file.
    • If the charge fails, it is retried daily, and any unpaid amount is added to the next statement. Patients are never charged instead.
    • Turning the switch off only affects visits completed afterwards.

This month so far shows covered visits not yet on a statement. Statements lists each month with Visits, Amount and a status of Paid, Open, Processing, Failed or Moved to next statement.
