How do I send a document for a patient to acknowledge?

Upload a PDF to the library, send it to patients, and track who has acknowledged it.

How do I send a document for a patient to acknowledge?

Send consent forms or policies as PDFs. Patients are notified in GRAICE and by email, and you track their replies.

Who can do this: Front Desk, admins and clinicians.

Add a PDF to the library

    1. Open Admin → Documents, then the Acknowledgments tab.
    2. Under Library, select Upload PDF.
    3. Choose the file, enter a Title and a Category such as CONSENT.
    4. Select Upload PDF.

    Send it

    1. Find the document in Library and select Send.
    2. Tick the patients.
    3. Select Send to and the number you picked.

The result reads like "Sent to 3. Skipped 0." If it says the email did not go out, the patient was still notified in the app. If it says Not notified, send again to notify them.

    Track replies

Sent Requests lists each patient, document and status. Acknowledged requests show the date. For a request that is still pending or viewed, select Cancel to withdraw it.

    Good to know

    • A patient who already has a pending request for the same document is skipped. Sending again never sends a second email.
    • Patients who turned off email for Document Updates get the in-app notice only.
    • Clinicians can only send to patients on their own care team. Others are skipped.
